Our Vision
At Sahara Disability Services, our vision is to build a more equitable world—where people of all abilities are respected, empowered, and supported to live with confidence, choice, and independence.
We believe that true inclusion goes beyond protection—it’s about empowerment. That means moving away from outdated, risk-averse approaches that “cotton wool” people with disability, and instead, supporting individuals to take the same meaningful risks and decisions that others take for granted.
We see every person as capable and resourceful. Our role is to stand alongside them—not to shield, but to support. We promote resilience, not restriction. We encourage bold living, not passive care.
Through equity-based, person-led support, we help people reduce vulnerability not by limiting their world, but by helping them engage with it on their own terms. Whether it's learning new skills, building safer independence, or exploring opportunities, we believe everyone deserves the right to try, to choose, and to grow.

Our History
Sahara Disability Services was born from conversations of two brothers passionate about inclusivity, empowerment and holistic support. Our directors have a combined experience of 5 years in the disability sector as an Accredited Exercise Physiologist and Support Worker, and have come together to combine their passion, experience, and strengths into the formation of Sahara Disability Services. We understood that progress towards goals requires personalised support on a frequent basis, and support workers are best-placed to promote change through daily action.
Our Impact
At Sahara Disability Services, we embody equity by meeting each participant where they're at. We tailor support to their strengths, goals, and preferences—because we know a one-size-fits-all approach doesn’t work in real life. Equity drives our mission to empower people to live with independence, choice, and dignity.
